Farriers have been around since Ancient Rome, where craftsmen cared for hooves and made early horseshoes. The first nailed-on horseshoes appeared around 500–900 AD, leading to the rise of skilled blacksmith-farriers. Over time, the profession evolved into today's specialized hoof-care experts, combining tradition with modern techniques.
