Anvil and Apron is a proud vendor at the Alpine, Texas Farmers Market. Most Saturdays from 9am - Noon we can be found selling handmade craft items, artisanal focaccia, and canned goods under our cottage foods license. Made with traditional techniques, intention and care there's always something to check out. Items we've carried in the past are listed below, but be sure to check our facebook page to see what's on the table this week.
All of the hand forged items on our table are made from real worn horseshoes from Jonathan's work as a farrier. Making items of use and beauty from these items and giving them a second life has long been a traditional craft of horseshoers.

Folk Art Horseshoe Heart! They can easily be hung, laid flat, or leaned up on the fireplace mantle or display shelf. Use it as a picture frame, a trivet, or even incorporate it into a larger decoration. Or as we like to tell customers "give it to your sweetheart or throw it at your ex."

Tic-Tac-Toe, sometimes called Noughts and Crosses, this handmade game is crafted from local pecan or juniper using ranch used horseshoes and horseshoe nails. These items are the perfect gift or travel keepsake.

Farrier's Solitaire! The classic peg jump game you know and love. Handmade with local juniper and pecan with a western twist you can't resist.
